I think the fact that there are four different models available would make it evident that they can't all be "exact" copies of the same set of pipes.
But I imagine most of us are more interested in the sound and quality.

Well Stuart doesn't have the original MacRae blowpipe...you can see he plays a modern style Crisler blowpipe.

If he still had it, they would have no doubt made an exact replica of it as well. But due to the situation they just based it on their McCallum blowpipe.

Ah, but it's absolutely vital that you have an exact copy of the original blowpipe and mouthpiece. Only then will you reproduce the way the original Maccraes pass the sound waves from the drones, to the sheepskin bag, up the blowstick, through the mouthpiece, into your teeth, and from there to the natural resonating chamber of your skull. Of course to sound exactly like Stuart Liddle you will have to get your cranium surgically modified into an exact replica of his....

Interestingly enough, I've noticed the SL4 model has engraved slides while Stuarts don't.

Lol..If Mr Liddell had a set of rosewood Pakistani pipes I'm sure he could get them sounding amazing so everyone would be running out and buying them too...
