Bay City, Kalamazoo, Muskegon Michigan - all canceled -

Yup - That was the schedule for my band.
All other performances over the weekend and on Tuesday (except 1 - at a television station) all cancelled.
I think it is safe to say that most things will be canceled around me for the foreseeable future.

The AOH St Patrick's Parade scheduled for Sat 3/14/2020 in Louisville, KY has been postponed for a later date (TBD).

The governor has also strongly suggested all places of worship postpone services and for public and private schools to close for the next two weeks (some will also be having their Spring Break in just three weeks). Colleges and universities in the area area also suspending in-person classes.

Some businesses have encouraged their employees to work from home if at all possible.

Hopefully, scientists and healthcare workers will gain the time they need to determine the vectors for infection and the incubation period so treatment and prevention can begin.

I bit the bullet and canceled my bar gigs for the day itself. Eight hours of gulping air in rooms full of potential pathogen donors just isn't a good idea.

Denver's St Patrick's Day parade has been cancelled. It's supposedly the largest parade west of the Mississippi. Also, our Band has just made the call to cancel all of our pub gigs on Saturday, Sunday & Tuesday. 16 in all.

Yep..... the Colorado Youth Band just cancelled their gigs too.

While kids donít seem to suffer anywhere near as much as older adults, it seems that the key to preventing more widespread illness is simply to prevent the spread of the disease. Simply put, that means everyone needs to avoid crowds.

My work (Disneyland) informed us yesterday that today will be the last operating day until further notice.

Some people who work there will still get paid, some will not.

My wife will be working from home until further notice. (It's a tech firm where that's practicable.)

My daughter's University told everyone to stay home, classes will be held online until further notice.

Oh and yes all of my St Pat's gigs save one have cancelled. The one that's still on is a small house party I've been doing for 20 years.

Four cancelled in Illinois to my knowledge...Chicago, Springfield, Decatur, and Urbana. Not sure about the others, but officially, the Urbana parade has been postponed to a future date.
