Default Fixing the zip on a Bannatyne bag?

A Bannatyne bag I was using for a few years had a zipper go off the track. The pull is still threaded on one side, but has popped off the other side.

Banantyne has no clue on how to fix it and replied when I wrote them:

"Unfortunately we are unsure of a how to fix this problem, as it is very rare and we would not be able to put a new zip on the bag.
You may need to go to someone who specialises in zips."

Anybody have suggestions on how to fix it?

If it came off (out) ..it will go back in( I think). I'm thinking if you had a very thin piece of flexible plastic. ( like the clear thingy found under the shirt collar button when back from a dry cleaner) and fit it on each side of the zipper male part it might help pave the way to wiggle it back into the female track.

The zip end dock leaked on my otherwise great zipped bag a few years ago...they told me the same..." no fix..no replace"

Zipped bag makers caution to do your best to keep the bag laying flat on a surface and smoothly pull the zip in a straight path....don't hold the bag flopping around and give a big wanton yank.

I don't know how it works in your area but here in Cupertino, CA, our local shoe repair shop/cobbler also does zipper repair.

Also check with a luggage store, they must have lots of customers with zipper problems.

Have you Googled "zipper repair"? I just did and the first three responses were shoe repair shops. YouTube has clips on fixing everything.

Cheers! Phil
