Default Rain Cape

Wasn't sure if there was a better place to put this post so I decided to put it here.

I am wanting to buy a pipers rain cape, whether it be an Inverness/bandspec or whatever, but looking at the sizes I am finding it very difficult to decide which size would be best for me.

I'm an adult of about 4 foot 8 inches and my chest size is around 38-40.

Now according to the sizes I have looked at the XS is the one I need closer to my height requirement, but the Small or Medium are the sizes best for my chest measurement.

So I don't know if there is anywhere I could co to get one made the right size all round or do I have to wear one that is right for my chest size but is almost on the floor in length
HELP!!!

A size small will do you. But...why not just go to shop and try one on? For kids...I have folded the bottom up as needed...and taped it with duct tape. Later removeable for growth..no harm/no foul.

Any pipers or pipebands around you? Maybe you can try someone's?

Phone 'Mister Anthony' the well know manufacturer of rain capes and ask their advice. They are extremely helpful .

I guess the larger size can be adjusted to fit You with less difficulties than making something small bigger. Of course, with water-resistant material it will be different from fitting a jacket or shirt, yet still...

If you get one of the lesser expensive types, you could go with a medium and hem the bottom.

I think it would be more important for it to fit around your torso so it won't feel binding while you are playing. Good luck!!

The way these are cut I think even a small would fit a large person...

It's been done before.
