Very sad. Maybe this is a silly idea, but how about sometime tomorrow, every piper who reads this forum play a couple of tunes in his memory. It might be nice for someone who gave such a gift to the piping world to have pipers world wide play a tune or two to honor him. All best to his family and friends who miss him.

This is horribally sad. I too want to thank Bob for what he created here. It has been an invaluable resource for myself and thousands of others. God bless and condolences to his family. RIP Bob.

May he be laid to rest with the sound of a hundred pipers & drums.

anyone for a benefit CD, proceeds to go to chosen fund?
If at first you don't succeed, sounds like a normal day to me.

I was always too scared to thank you (in real life) for the website of the year award we won a couple of years ago. Now I would like to thank you for the award and the great things you did for the piping and drumming internet community. RIP Bob, all my thoughts are with Bob's family and close friends.

Peace be with Bob's family and friends.

His legacy is this forum and its ability to bring pipers from all over the world into one place.

I'm sure he and Scott MacLellan are playing a tune or two ...
