Default SLOT marching off with the hardware tune Worlds 2010

Anyone know the name of their march off tune? It had an Irish flavor and was very catchy! Thanks.

The tune sounds very familiar, though I cannot place it. Hopefully someone will chime in.

I don't know what SLOT calls it, but it sounds like a special variation of "Hail, Hail, the Gangs All Here" which would be very appropriate for their celebration.

The first tune is "The Dust Gatherer" found in Terry Tully Collection of Traditional Irish Music, haven't figured out the name of the second tune yet.

Does anyone have a good video link to the march off tune that plays out a little longer? A great and memorable performance! Time to buy the whole Tully collection of tunes!

The tune they march off to is definitely The Dust Gatherer. It is a 4/4 written by Michael Murphy. I believe it is a 4 parted 4/4. It is in book 2 of Tully 's collection. I do have the book, though it is at home. Here is a good link, County Tyrone Competition. They play it as the march off after their set.

Correct..........
First tune is The Dust Gatherer by Michael Murphy.
The second is - Sharon's Cat - which Terry wrote a number of years ago......not sure what book it's in though and we played it as our intro hornpipe around 1994/95, if I remember correctly.

Ronan- are those lovely harmonies for the Dust Gatherer published in Terry's book, or anywhere else?

Nope, I'm afraid not.....and we play a slightly different version of the tune than the one published.
