Default Brighde Chaimbeul

Just found this video of Brighde Chaimbeul on the small pipes with excellent guitar accompaniment. Great piper but could a Gaelic-speaking member here let me know the proper pronunciation of her name? (The MC said something that sounded like BREE KAMBIO.)

Of course the first name is ‘ Brigid’ ...but I’d leave her surname pronunciation correctly up to hearing it from her ownself.

Thanks guys. Yes, of course. There are Google results for Brighde Campbell as well. Any comments on the Youtube performance? You have to get ( or skip) through a couple of minutes of MC intros.

This from Wikipedia:

In the Scottish Gaelic language, the name is spelled Brìghde and is pronounced "breej-eh"

Brilliant playing on a lovely instrument and an interesting selection of tunes. What more can you say. I think it's a Hamish Moore pipe but maybe someone else can confirm.

Beautiful playing for sure. And a nice-looking Collings D2H as well.

Beautiful playing for sure. Such a clear, bright sound from her SSPs. And a nice-looking Collings D2H as well.

I'd say BREE-djeh KHAM-byeul. She and her sister Maire (Harpist, Berklee grad) are from the isle of Skye.

It is. I've heard her play in person, and she's both an amazing player and has a lovely instrument sound.
