I may be too old for this forum, but I was fortunate enough to meet Alex Duthart a few weeks before his untimely death. He was the real deal, and not burdened with any noticeable ego...

From a piper's perspective, The best drummer that i ever had the pleasure of playing with is Andre Tessier.
He is a joy to play with one on one because he can accompany a piper to any style or tempo of tune you can throw at him better than anyone i've ever met. |
