Default Looking for a piper's name

I am looking for the name of a gent that was in a rock band something like U2 that also played the bagpipes. In a interview with his brother he indicated that he had even played his pipes on one of the bands albums.

I believe he passed away but donít remember from what

Thanks

Are you thinking about Bon Scott from ACDC?

Bon Scott played and has since passed

Phil Collins was also learning and I believe still does.

Rob and Sandy Campbell of the Mudmen have been a few places.

The lead singer of Korn plays(ed)

The list goes on.

Thanks, I think it was Bon Scott. I came across a interview given by his brother and it was on a bagpipe retailers site but I cant find it anymore. it was quite interesting.

He went into a lot of detail about how he would try to play the pipes to modern rock n roll.

According to Malcom Young (Angusís Brother and rhythm guitarist) Bon couldnít actually play the pipes. He could play the Flute and thus the chanter.

Perhaps youíre talking about Gordon Duncan?

He used to tinker with that (obviously since he arranged thunderstruck)
