The T in the cupid lipped box hallmark does indicate 1968. $3500 is (only) the current bid with 5 days remaining. $3500. Would be a very good price though. (Imho). If you are 6' tall you'll need to have a new blowstick made to fit yourself reusing the current bulb and silver tip or a Hendie style bulb.

All that said...an alarm goes off for me saying the late '60's were not the best quality years for Hendies. You might ask Ringo or Jim McGillivray. Without hearing them in person is always a gamble.

I thought Hendersons were jobbed out by RG Hardie at that time and the pipes were Hardie in all but name only. Bit steep, but others may have more info.

Did anyone notice the P. Henderson (Ltd.) stamped at the top of the lower tenor joint below the mount in the third image? That is in addition to the same being stamped below the cord guides. I have not heard of or seen this before. Is this an anomaly?

That looks like a Cameron Wylie adjustable blowstick. Great price for full silver. I am not certain, but I think 68 is when there were quality issues, and I would want a chance to return them if I didn't like them.

Yeah Cameron Wylie BS, but it looks...broken? It looks like the top bit of it was set next the the bottom bit and not connected...? And yes I think it's a great price for full Silver.

My S/I 1968 Hardies are a pure joy. Never a bad comment on tone. Actually lower bores a bit bigger than standard Hardies so maybe by someone from the Henderson shop at the time.

Always provide for a return but looks legit. If in Nor. Cal can take them to Lynn Miller at House of Bagpipes for an evaluation. He saved me quite a bit before I finalized one potential buy.

Two unusual features on this set of Hendersons
The Henderson stamp under the projecting mount
Three beads on the tenor bottoms
