Default Stan Lee got bagpipes!

An Army bugler played a mournful taps at a Hollywood memorial for Stan Lee, and military bagpipers sent a solemn ďAmazing GraceĒ into the air...

Has anyone seen photos of the pipers?

I sincerely doubt that Mr. Stan Lee had Pipers from the US Army as aside from the pipes and drums of the Corps of Cadets at West Point, there are very few unofficial pipe bands within the Army. Most likely he had a well turned out Civilian pipe band in tunic uniforms. The US Army School of Music doesn't even recognize bagpipes as a instrument though there is a small subsegment of Active Duty Soldiers and Retirees like myself trying to get adoption of the Bagpipes as an official instrument.

Checked the SAMS Post 1921 website for pipe bands that may be military affiliated in LA there are two.

Being related to someone who worked on the memorial event I was told there would be pipers. (So I did tell this person that I was available & willing to travel -lol).
Supposedly Stan loved the pipes and asked to have them played when he passed.
After seeing your post I tried to see if the pipers could be identified -alas- all we could get as a response was they were military with no branch of service identified, and everyone loved their performance.

I did a bit deeper digging and was able to get some information from other sources such as Veterans in Media & Entertainment, AKA VME, and Deadline Hollywood. Allears entertainment also states similarly

The Pipe Band is reported to be a Police Pipe Band it however doesn't state which one.

Searching open sources it was the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums which played the opening ceremonies.

Form the facebook page:

On Wednesday, January 30th a tribute to Stan Lee will be held at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood. The Band will be playing at the opening ceremony.
