I placed an order on 26 Jan and have received follow-up status emails, including a "shipped" status.

I was in the shop a month ago, and talked to Mr Higgins about sending a kilt in for alterations. He never said anything about it. Got my kilt back last week, and the alterations were expertly done.

Given that Kansas City is in the Polar Vortex and it's currently 3 degrees there and fixing to fall to sub-freezing overnight, I would imagine that they may be temporarily closed, as is most everybody else.

Cheers -

I just talked to John. He's still fully in business. He says it's a "false rumor" that he's closed up anything.

Yeah..I spoke to them today too...I called the 1-888 xxx xxxx phone # on their webpage....the # I called Sunday and got a ‘not in service-disconnected’ message...I called it Tuesday and got a electronic message ‘ we’re not here now...leave a message’.

I called that same # today afternoon...they answered . I mentioned to the guy that I’d had trouble getting thru....he said it’s not their #...I reminded him I just called him at 1-888 xxx xxxx and we were speaking on it. ... he said their # is a 1-800#...

Seems the Higgins webpage google pulled up was someway bogus...with a wrong phone # and wrong email johnh@jhiggins.net. ...which bounced when I sent a email to them.

That email address is correct. John and I corresponded today using that email address for him.
