Default Cronan's Reel/Roddy MacDonald's Fancy

This Donald MacLeod tune is generally better known under the latter name, especially in trad circles.

As far as I am aware, it was never published by himself in his own works. It's in MacFadyen's book 2 as Roddy MacDonald's, and Angus MacDonald as Cronan's.

To add to the confusion, the Irish reel it is based on is widely known as The Blackberry Blossom.

Does anyone happen to know where the different names came from, and which, if any, is "correct"?
