Yep...you can tape and glue all you want, but I personally wouldn't trust a repair job to last over the long term. A new Canmore Hybrid has a 2-year warranty...

I thank everyone for their replies!

As I said earlier, I am unable to buy a new bag at this time. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new Canmore later this year.

I'll give the patch idea a chance, looking into Shoe Goo & Aquaseal as possible patch material.

Didn't he say it IS a canmore hybrid..?

I had a bannatyne hybrid fail at the grommet on me. All repair attempts failed. I went tie-in gannaway w/zip and haven't had problems since..

He did. But actually didnt say how new-ish. Ive got two right now...in service for 3+ years. Still holding their own nicely.
Ive had tied in leather in the old days... gannaway, l&m ...3-5 years was common.

Im sticking with the Canmore hybrid,.... so far.

If it is a zipper bag you should be able to find a goretex patch kit that you can apply on the inside of the bag. No zipper? That may be harder, especially with the composite construction - leather and goretex.

Good luck!
