The fact that one day we all must die is reality; a part of life. I don't think I'd go as far as to call it morbid. Anyway, I still hope I go out piping!

Well we do all have to go sometime, but if I could choose the way I go. I would be shot by a jealous husband when Iím 99 or so.
There are only two kinds of people in the world ...
Those who think they can, and
Those who think they cannot ...
They are both right!

I believe the Pipe Major of The Mull of Kintyre Pipe Band, who helped make Wings song of the same name, died suddenly as he was testing a bass drone reed for one of his lady pupils. He was a big fellow, ex Scots Guards. Heart attack.

Unlikely, but I would like to compose at least one immortal tune before I fall off the perch.

A drummer in our band suffered a heart attack and died during a parade a number of years ago. Since then, the band has a standing rule that if you don't feel well during a parade, let someone know and step out. Someone will go either also leave the parade to make sure you're all right or one of the band's family members following the route will stay with you.

How would that make a competitor feel. How could you not feel like you played so bad you killed the judge.
if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

Killing a judge while piping....I think that's called justice, but what would be the most fitting tune?

didn't the famous gs maclennan pass away while giving tuition to his two boys?

-more or less true. He collapsed, I think, at that point and died later, if I recall. He
was unfortunately not very healthy during his life.
