Will somebody tell me about Winterstorm? I am weighing my winter options and have heard good things about Winterstorm. What's it like, how great is it, and what's this Twin Peaks business?
Tell me 'bout it!
Thanks,
Jess

Well I'm also sad to say I will not be there. And, I'm pretty sure the young lady that played lead drum is not going to be there either. So....you guys from the good ole US of A are going to have to pick up the slack from us Canuckers. The Canadian girls drinking team looks to be absent this year.

This is NOT good!!! Mitch!! Sooooo sad you can't make it.

Jess, check out www.winterstorm.net

You've got the solo competitions on Friday, the workshops on Saturday, the concert Saturday night, and the after party, Winter Steam. There is a half day workshop on Sunday morning, then the sad realization that it's time to go home.

It's worth the time and money spent!

Jessierose,
Twin Peaks Pipe Band is the name of the all Ladies Pipe Band that we gather up to play at the Winter Steam Party. It's called Twin Peaks because, well....use your imagination.

Haha! Got it Bonnie! Sounds fun! I'm not sure if I can swing getting up there but I'm gonna try to sweet talk (etc) the hubby and save up birthday moolah (today's my 28th!)!
We shall see!

Happy Birthday, Jessie!!!
You should definitely consider Winter Storm -- a few people from the BR band (Bonnie, for one) went last year and had a fabulous time. Besides, isn't your instructor going to be there?

Thanks, Nancy!
Just got home from a play my mother directed and starred in and my sweet (hot) husband had baked me a cake with a bagpipe scrawled on top in bright green icing!
I am really trying to figure out a way to get to WinterStorm! Yes, my instructor is gonna be there but I'll probably avoid him if I go. That darn language barrier really gets in the way! (eh?)

OK Deanna ... I think that if I can get my hands on a tenor drum down there (traveled with mine before and I was a nervous wreck), then I'm game

Michele -- sure going to miss you ... but quick question ... I was born in the US -- but my family is Quebecois, does this make me an honorary Canadian? (lived in Saskatchewan to boot!)

I'm really disappointed to miss Winter Storm this year because I wanted to play with "Twin Peaks" this time around ... Last year was my first time at Winter Storm, and it sure was awesome to see the mini bands come into the ballroom in all their glory I didn't know the all-ladies band was called "Twin peaks" though
