Facebook group is always good for just such a thing.

If you already have a band website, why not set up a (password protected) members section? You can store sheet music, contacts, put announcements up etc. and it's easier for the people who don't have facebook.

For the facebook-less, I've used Team Snap with a band. It's intended for sports teams, but the concept works just as well with pipe bands.

You can set up gigs, practices, send out mass texts and emails. It's pretty good for group communication.

I think a lot of this is available via Google. You can have chats, editable documents, storage, email, etc.

GoogleGroups, specifically. Yahoo has a similar groups feature. Both are free.

We successfully used yahoo groups many years ago. Yammer may be a more modern collaboration option, but I am not sure if it has a 'public' variation.

I'd love to find one.
There's several platforms for "bands", but they're generally designed for 'bar bands' and are heavy on promotion, not internal management.
There's some sports team sites out there that would probably work.

In the end, I've just built bits and pieces of this. If I had the time, I'd fix it up and tidy it up.

Band Register. Can send emails to the band en masse based on email addresses in the register. Wanted to connect it to a text gateway, but never got around to that. Using a Google text gateway at the moment. I don't like that because I can't tie it to the single "admin" page. There's a gig signup list as well so we can know who's coming. I haven't gotten around to tying the email alert to send to the whole band when a new gig is added.
