Default Favorite Place to Play?

I understand how it important it is to practice, but where do you go when you just want to play some of your favorite tunes?
I have started playing on a small pier in the evenings. Just tonight, I could see dolphins cruising around in front of me (I'm in Florida). It was great

For my self... nothing quite like being in the
forests... with the light dappling in amongst
the leaves... or in the fields at night... under
the stars...

Ankle deep in Lake Huron (near Kincardine) on a calm summer night when the water is like a mill pond.

Will, the pier - do you have it all to yourself in the evening?

I have been going to a large cemetery about a mile from my house. It's better than the parks I used to use. Lots of trees and very quiet. Not a soul around and I mean that in both ways.

When I was teaching, the auditorium in the middle school was my favorite place to play. It was just live enough.

I think of all the places I have played, though, My favorite has been the on the spar deck of USS Constitution.

Sometimes there is no one else. There is a restaurant on the water about a half mile away. Just last night a lady and her daughter said they heard me and drove over and listened. I finished my piobaireachd and then talked with them for a little bit. She said her grandmother was Scottish and that my piping reminded her of that. I have a long way to go as a piper, but it was nice.
