Default Gibson pipes

i haven't picked up the pipes for a while owing to a hand condition.

I just retrieved them from the case and fired them up after 5 months. They started immediately, all in tune and with no issues.

They are 10 year old Gibson pipes.

i am amazed at how steady and reliable these pipes have been and are.

About as close to grab and go as it gets.

Regards
Adios

Agreed. Great make. I've owned four sets in my life, so far, and these are one. They were only curbed (for now) when I came across an old set of Hendersons, which is currently my primary set.

But I think I played those Gibsons happily for a good 10 years at least. Nice sound. And the plastic chanter that came with them, I'm shocked at how well it does with piob. high G.

By the by .. if the pipes have been out-of-use for a long time, be careful not to overplay them. They should be slowly played back in over the course of several weeks, starting with sessions no longer than 10-15 mins. Gradually and slowly increase playing time. Failure to do so could lead to cracks due to stress on the wood.

Cheers,
~Nate
