Why are you spelling pibroch with an apostrophe? I can't remember seeing that before.

I have seen it wrtitten like "Pibroc'h", or "Pibroch'", or "Pibroch"...just wonder who started first!

In fact and after I checked it should be written "Pibroc'h".

In the Breton language, the 'ch' sound in pibroch (or loch) is written c'h, thus pibroc'h is pretty much a Breton phonetic spelling.

Gaelic is piobaireachd, which when writing in English has been rendered as pibroch for hundreds of years.

Neither the Gaelic or the English word has an apostrophe, both being complete words.

I suppose if you had to create a plural it would be pibrochs, and if you had to create a possessive it would be pibroch's (singular) or pibrochs' (plural).

But pibroch' is a head-scratcher.
