Default ABC music software

Hello folks,
I use EasyABC quite a bit, and I have a question. Can anyone tell me how an incipit file works? I gather it's a sort of template, or setup file. Can anyone tell me how it works, and how to edit/save it?
Thanks in advance,
Scot.

Default Re: ABC music software - incipit file

Isnít an incipit basically a preview of a tune? Like the first four bars or something?

I donít believe itís a set up file or template.

If Iím not mistaken, a common use is to have a page with, say, 10 tunes on it, but only the introductory snippet of each tune so you can get a taste of each one.

Yes, it's just a big list of how various tunes start, for memory-jogging purposes.

I don't use EasyABC, but I think the general idea is that you generate it and print it off, and that's about it - there are some options in the generation dialog I think, but generally if you want to change order or anything like that it has to be in the underlying file.

Oh, okay thanks Gents. I obviously misunderstood. Would be nice to have a setup file though that loads automatically. I guess I can just save my own template.

Cheers,
Scot.
