I had good tone with ezee reeds, and eventually ended up with Henderson Harmonic Deluxe (carbon fiber tongue).

It was pretty easy to coax great drone sound out of them. Reminded me of that classic Hardie sound.

Do you still have those Shepherd pipes? Iím curious about the i.d of the bushes...same for all 3? . And relatively small?

I remember people remarking on the narrow bushing when I got my Shepherds.
