don't drink, and hit the sack early if you have solos in the morning.

stake out your band spot early, cause bands like to use the same places year after year.

wear your ear plugs if sleeping in the dorms.

bring inverness capes. usually rains.

be sure to get a pasty from the Methodists. yummy!

make pals with a Canadian band. they bring good beer.

you can watch the hockey playoffs in the day rooms.

there's a good pizza joint that delivers to campus.

give drum major larry fullerton a hard time. oh, but learn glendural highlanders.

after smashed bands on sunday run back to the dorms as fast as you can to be first in the shower.

You lot flying up?

Depending on where you're staying, and transport, get beer and ice away from the 7-11 near campus. I firmly believe they double their prices for the weekend. There's a grocery store on the main drag in from M-46 that has beer and ice in plenty - get the bus driver to pull over and let you stock up.

Then when each of you has at least two cases of beer, all of you take 1 case and go find Flint Scottish and "share"... And tell Ted and Dennis that I suggested the idea.

Then Saturday, take the OTHER case you bought - and do the same thing!

With the beer tent moving closer to the forms, and entertainment going Friday and Saturday night, it is a much better weekend that it has been in some time. The frist several years I was going (my, that was a long time ago) the unofficial hall-way parties/ceilis/sessions were great - they rather went by the board with changes in rules, etc., Then things moved downtown for a bit. With entertainment (and beer) going that close, it does make things a bit easier... If the weather is decent.

One day will be sunny and hot. The other day will be cold and probably rainy. You won't know which until it happens.

The parking lots fill up early.

Thanks..... I was there about 10 years ago... and it was dry in the town... and the beer tent closed at 9:00pm.....

Looks like things have changed for the better......

When I was there before.... there was a band party at a hotel outside Alma.... on the Saturday night.... do they still have that?
