Default Kintail gone or not?

Sorry ya'll, but I've been out of circulation for quite awhile. I know after Mr. Sharp passed that supposedly the company was kinda winding down. After a forum search here I see that at some point the website was taken down, however there is very much a website up and running (apparently). So are they alive and kicking or have the closed up shop?

I don't know anything about the website or the state of the business but I was always under the impression Greig's son Drew was always expected to carry it on.

After a bit more investigation on the website, pretty much every link is dead. So probably not a good sign. I think I'll try the phone number and see if it is still functioning.

There's been several threads on Kintail , going back to the early 2000's.

The phone number seems to be inactive, and the property listed on the website, as the Kintail address, 20 Halhill Road, Springboig, was sold on several years ago. I had been told that after Greg died in 2009, his nephews wound the business down. A friend of mine even tracked them down to that home address when he wanted his early 80's Kintail chalice pipes repaired back in 2013. It was empty.

It seems that this disembodied website is the culprit. It wouldn't be the first time that a company closed up and simply left their website fully functional as if everything was still operational. Especially if the site is hosted for free somewhere with a domain name that was registered for years into the future. Though the series of missing images and broken links is a bit of a sign that something is amiss.

In early 2013 a young student on practice chanter had some borrowed kintail pipes...missing a tenor Bush. The kintail site then listed replacement bushes as available...so I had the parents carefully confirm the necessary diameter and order a replacement. After multiple unreplied emails and a few unanswered phone calls USA to UK the replacement Bush showed up 5 months later in a small padded envelope...no message ,..nada. But her credit card was charged near $50.

Id understood the doors were nailed closed shortly after.

https://www.kintail.co.uk/

Says the site was designed in 2016?
