This is the updated version. Please post additions and corrections as replies here.
To date, there are 33 instances of Dixon tune recordings I know of (as full versions, part versions, stand-alone or in medleys) but only 20 of Dixon's 40 tunes are represented, with a few clear favourites.

It's been a quiet time for Dixon recordings. This one was made in 2011 but has just made its way here. Ian Harrison plays smallpipes with the EFB.

I note that Macfarlane/Rosenfeld regard Dorrington Lads as from "Scotland" - as indeed do Hesperus on their version.

Yes Paul, almost as amusing as the claim on the Greenberg / Norman CD notes that Hadrian's Wall was built by Border Gypsies (who AFAIK didn't arrive for another millennium and more ... ). Funny thing, history. You couldn't make it up - oh, but they did.
