Default Buying on Ebay

Has anybody ever purchased a Prince Charlie jacket and vest on Ebay from any of those vendors who are selling them for between $150-$200?
I need a new jacket and I don't want to spend a fortune, but I also don't want to buy one of these and have it be pure junk. I would guess I wear a PC about twice a year. The vest more often, but it's not like my every day uniform stuff.

I appreciate any input.

I have bought one in the past from an Ebay vendor. It actually came from Pakistan. It didn't fit perfectly but 40$ later at a good tailors it fits nice and compared to the more expensive scottish made ones it doesn't look bad at all.

Thanks for the input. If I expected it to fit great I'd spend $1000 and get it custom made. I just need to replace the one that "shrunk" in my closet.

Hello,
I have bought a jacket from this person in the past. It is used rental stock I think and the prices and quality are great!

You might try Sandy St. James. One of our band members bought one from him, and he was very happy with it. Also check out some of the sponsors from this forum. They support us, so it helps to support them.

A cut rate product may be just that, and end up costing you a lot more.

If you use an ebay merchant, make sure they have excellent feedback, and a lot of it.

Make sure you get one that is pre-shrunk too.

Soon, I'm going to have to look at a new kilt and jacket, too. It's seems I also have a calorie infestation.

Thanks for the input everyone. I hate those little bastitches that live in my closet and sew my clothes together.
