Default Shipping to UK

I am looking for info regarding shipping a set with natural mounts from Canada to the UK. Does anyone have previous experience?

In addition to being in danger of having the 'natural mounts' seized, also keep in mind that the person on the receiving end is going to have to pay a VAT of 20% of the cost of the pipes plus duty.

I returned a pipe bag to Scotland last Fall and it was impounded outside of London for Duties. Believe that was about 2 weeks of no action/updates whatsoever.

When you say "natural mounts" what exactly constitutes that, code for ivory? Seems like that would include all wood mounts, etc

"Natural mounts" is indeed code for ivory, albeit a strange one because, as you said, wood is also a natural material.

But if you look on any buy/sell page, whether eBay, Facebook, or other, anytime you see ivory it's called "natural," probably in an attempt to not get flagged or removed.
