Leaking bellows?

I have a set of Heriot and Allan SSP's that I have had for about 6 months. I am not the original owner and they didn't come with a maintenance record like my car has ..... but anyway

They are about 11 years old and the bellows has a minor leak (well actually, I think it's minor but I have no evaluation criteria to back that up. Anyway, at what point does one move to reseal the bellows and how much of a pain is it? I don't want to gum up my pipes yet want to maintain their playability. I have tried oiling the valve rim and hinge to no avail. I found a specific leak at the seam in the leather at the front of the bellows. If I stopper the end of the connector tube, I can compress the bellows full closed within about 10 to 15 seconds. Should I bother at this point or leave it until it gets worse?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

Hi Sean,
I fixed my leaking UP bellows with UP's bagseasoning (i think that you can use also other seasonings used in GHB's).
Take valves away, corks in to holes, pour the liquid inside , close all holes with corks,
shake well that seasoning goes ewerywhere.

I am still wondering at what point it makes sense to re-treat the bag. I don't mind doing the work, I just wonder if it's necessary.

Also, I don't want to muck it up so if I can avoid it for a while, I will.

How do You decide when to treat your bellows?
