Default Salute to the Royal Fendersmith

About the tune: "Salute to Willie, the Royal Fendersmith".
I have been wondering about the job title and found this:
"Windsor Castle employs a fendersmith, whose main duty is to light the royal fire in the early evening" in the Oak Room, and that the current incumbent has been awarded the Royal Victorian Medal Order (Silver) in the 2006 New Year's Honours List.
A very nice job indeed. Given HM's family do not need fire except in the winter, and they do not stay at Windsor Castle most of the year (especially in winter), what could be his other duties?

There was a special on PBS recently about Windsor Castle, and they pointed out that the fendersmiths also polish the brass on the fenders, andirons and other fireplace hardware. Since there are quite a few fireplaces (working or not) there is quite a bit of polishing to do.

And he polished up the handle so carefully,
That now he is the ruler of the Queen's Navy

Written by P.M James Banks as a tribute to Willie, the elder brother of James and Alex Banks.

First part sounds a lot like Leaving Eriskay.

Still, to have your young brother write a tribute to you would be pretty cool.

And James's silver pipes should have been sparkling like Gary Glitter ..... ..
I like the tune, it's easy and pretty good to hear with the seconds...
