  • Free Scottish Holiday Concert 11/30/2013, Burlingame, CA

Free Scottish Holiday Concert - November 30, 2013, 3:00 PM
    Burlingame, Ca

    For Immediate Release

The Stewart Tartan Pipes and Drums will present their Annual Free Holiday Scottish Concert on Saturday, November 30, 2013, starting at 3:00 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Burlingame (415 El Camino Real, Burlingame, California - corner of El Camino Real & Bellevue Ave).

The concert features bagpipes & drums, Scottish ballads, and special guest appearances by the Piedmont Highland Dancing School.

Families are welcome (and encouraged to come).

"The band is a relaxed group of musicians, drawn together as much by the camaraderie of the band as our shared interest in the music", said Paul Olson, Drum Major. Current membership is twenty-five, with experience ranging from one year to almost forty years. New pipers and drummers are always welcome. The band practices in Saratoga, CA, on Tuesday evenings. This is the band's second year with a Grade 5 competition band.

Other performances include a mix of parades, shows, birthdays, weddings and special events, Disney Land, PGA's The President's Cup golf tournament, Silicon Valley Open , AT&T park for the SF Giants, Oakland Raiders, Davies Symphony, FaceBook and Mountain Winery with the Chieftains. The Holiday Concert is the highlight of the season.

    Donations gratefully accepted.
