It depends on which two frequencies (hertz) you are measuring (cents).

Cents are not frequencies. They are measurements between steps. There are 100 cents between steps.

Frequencies between steps are variable. Example using A at 440. The half step above (A#) is 466 (466.164 to be precise). The difference in hertz is 26.164. The note below (G#) is 415.305. The difference in hertz is 24.695.

So the relationship of cents and frequencies between A and A# is different from A and G#
