So I'm watching the Today show just now when they start interviewing a Piper, Rob Calder from Edinburgh. He's starting in NY and piping his way across the US to raise money for a charity back home. God speed Rob and have a great time. Here is list of states he plans on going through:
    NY - NJ - PA - WV - VA - NC - Tn - MS - LA - TX - NM - CO - UT - NV - AZ & CA.

I have tried to find his schedule online, but have had no luck. If anyone comes across this, please post it here. It would be nice to give him a warm North Carolina welcome.

Too bad the clip doesn't show him playing at the end. He's coming through Richmond and I believe one of the other bands in town have offered to put him up. Great to see the national exposure.

IMHO National TV shows are on very tight time schedules. When the host tells you to play your pipes it is best to play them and not start giving plugs for touring Scotland and the World Piping Championships. On the other hand those are very worthwhile things to promote.

Remember this the next time you are asked to play your pipes on national TV.

                              Cheers! Phil
