  • Paris or France based pipers

    Just received this request

CBBC (BBC Children's) are looking for Paris or France based bagpipe players (preferably a band) and highland dancers to perform at a wedding ceremony in Paris for a CBBC programme this March. Please get in touch with Dee Kalakoti on [email protected] +447718696196 if you are interested and available . Dee is more than happy to explain and discuss the proposition further.

In France, search words like "bagad", "cornemuse" and "ecosse" should easily turn up plenty of groups like that to choose from.

A member of these forums, Glazenn, is one of the best pipers in France & may be able to point you in the appropriate direction.

Yes. Glazen would be a very good recommendation, indeed.

Also, there is The Mary Queen of Scots Pipe Band (France)
that was greatly involved in Bill Millin's statue raising last year.

Their membership is rather widely strewn throughout France
and other countries in Europe... though I do not know where
        their official base is located.

For that, you might try one of our Forum members here, Serge
Athenour de Gourdon... as he is their Pipe Major.
