    Yes indeedy.

I can imagine how this auction will go.

Logans collection of bagpipe music RARE Handwritten music oldest known book | eBay

Good lord. I can only assume it's set to automatically relist with the price automatically reducing each time. That edition of Logan's is indeed rare, but not $10,000 rare!

That said, original books are now on collector's radar and if you have a first edition of any Victorian pipe music in decent condition, it's worth a good few bob nowadays.

Is this a uniquely NZ edition that greatly enhances it's value? The standard Logans don't have an Auckland advert on the cover - plus the company address is normally "Inverness, Elgin, Nairn & Dingwall". I honestly wasn't around when they were first published so I can't comment with too much confidence.

That is truly incredible. Any idea who the seller is?

              Cheers,

Relisted, by the way, with opening bid only $7,000. From a seller with no feedback but a lot of overpriced boat parts and hundred-dollar LPs by Olivia Newton John. Looks as if the handwritten bits are tunes copied out by the former owner? Ebay listings are like lawsuits -- you can sue for a million or list for ten thousand, but it's worth zero if can't close the deal.
