I've got a few dozen reeds that have been in their pack and sitting in a drawer for 4-5 years...and others still carried around in my pipe case..ditto. They're all 'good reeds' ...but need rejuvenating to be playable.
I gave them a few faucet wet finger swipes and put them in the fridge for a few days in a ziplock before getting back to them ....then set them out in the open to dry a bit. They seem to have bounced back.....subject to a bit less playing to be 'as new'.
Any other success schemes out there?....
